Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) material is an end product that has completed its life cycle as a consumer item and would otherwise have been disposed of as a solid waste.  These materials include recyclables collected in commercial and residential recycling programs; most recognizably longneck plastic bottles.  Clear Lam purchases post consumer recycled polyester from a small group of suppliers that can guarantee the required quality outlined in Clear Lam’s product stewardship program and can guarantee that the product is produced under an FDA letter of non-objection.  Clear Lam utilizes a minimum of 25% PCR materials in its thermoformed polyester containers.
